Fine Art Collection | Secret Garden - Part I
How lucky am I to have been invited to a secret garden this spring!?!
The family of some of my clients owns this particular secret garden and they take great care in having thousands of bulbs planted to ensure plenty of springtime blooms. And let me tell you, it is a breathtaking sight!!!
I was first introduced to this secret garden on a brisk spring day. It was the afternoon and I had stopped by to deliver my clients’ order from a recent event. As we went through their order in the living room, we somehow arrived at my ongoing personal project of photographing flowers. Soon we discussed the gardens behind their estate that would be in full bloom any day now and before I knew it we were headed out for a quick tour of the grounds. I didn’t have a jacket with me, but thankfully my client insisted I take one of hers before heading out. The family pet, an adorable and excited Cocker Spaniel, led the way. And although there were only a few blooms open that calm and sunny afternoon, I followed and listened while trying to imagine how magnificent the garden would be at its peak.
A couple weeks later, I received a call letting me know that the flowers were in bloom if I would like to stop by for some photographs. I was elated! Of course my schedule was packed already for the entire week (as it always seems to be lately), but I refused to miss my chance at catching the garden in full bloom. So, it was set… the next day I headed out on my lunch break with my gear ready. Here’s a little bit of the majesty I witnessed.
