Wedding Collection | 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration: Part II

It was a mild wintery evening outside the Hilbert Circle Theater in Downtown Indianapolis, but the intimate room for this special occasion was warm and alive. Before I could take it all in, I was greeted by the hostess. Although we had spoken on the phone a few times before, it was so lovely to finally meet her and put a face with a name. I checked with her on any additional requests and then went back to readying my gear and admiring the scene.

Near the center of the room, fresh pine trees decorated with tiny white lights lined the walls near the band’s setup. The tables were adorned with candles and arrangements of bright roses and fresh orchids. The place settings were composed of elegant linens, crystal stemware and china place settings. The room was abuzz as the band warmed up with some mariachi music and guests began streaming in with hugs and smiles. The attire was undoubtedly black tie; the group looked stunning. The cocktail hour was in full swing with cheery conversation and laughter. Through the windows, the lights of Monument Circle created a dazzling picturesque background against the dark winter night. After some time for drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a greeting from their hostess, guests were asked to gather for some formal group photos before being seated for dinner. The band mellowed their tunes for some hushed classical music and the drizzling rain outside seemed to let up for the moment. As the dinner courses were served, there was a hum of conversation among the guests which gave me the opportunity to venture out and catch a few images of the Hilbert Circle Theater and Monument Circle. I arrived back inside, just in time for the French chocolate mousse and coffee being served. Toasting to the happy couple seemed to flutter by with laughter and tears and the sharing of many memories in between.

Before I knew it, the night was over. It was up to me to bring life to the images I had captured. I am honored to have shared in such a special celebration as this couple’s 60^th Wedding Anniversary as well as overjoyed to have collaborated on such a wonderful album design.
